Clearing doubts and concerns

Questions, answered properly.

The honest versions, including the ones where the answer is “longer than you want to hear”. If what you need is the short version of what this is and how to start, that’s on the other page.

  1. What exactly is this?

There's no way to put it exactly. Think of trading, plus investing, and then a lot of crypto, DeFi, emerging bubbles in different sectors, yield opportunities, airdrops, and so on.

The trading things are related to the other things, and some of the other things are related to trading. You can do one without the other — though it's better to do the latter with trading experience, because of the fundamental factors, and better to do the trading knowing the other, since you get a more holistic view of how markets work besides watching candlesticks.

So, to summarise: trading and investing, primarily in crypto, with other markets as an anchor for the majors, cycle stages and macro.

TL;DR — trading, mostly crypto trading, and native crypto opportunities.

  2. Is this beginner friendly?

Yes and no. I try to explain most things in simple, actionable steps, with templates and examples to guide you. Sometimes that will not help.

My aim is to share everything as if I were starting from zero and continuing the journey now. But however much I'd like to just transfer “wisdom”, some things are not transferable — memory and emotion, for instance. You could argue they're shareable through storytelling, but you get my point.

Some concepts require a baseline level of knowledge. I try to explain most of it, but if you are a complete beginner, a lot of the content will give you no value until you have passed a certain level.

If I had developed my brain a bit more before entering this industry I would have saved myself some trouble. Ironically I owe this industry a lot, because I probably wouldn't have developed it otherwise — and I'm not only talking about finance.

  3. Will this work if I'm not tech-savvy?

It will be harder, but yes, it is absolutely doable. There are simple walkthroughs for setting everything up, even if you have never done it before.

The keyword is easier, not easy. If you have never done some of these things, a few will be a puzzle the first time. I just provide the template for the finished puzzle, and the most effective way to lay the pieces.

  4. How much time will I need?

There is no definite answer. It depends how far you want to take it.

If you want an extra way to make more than the stock market, and don't care about scaling through trading, then probably a month to see results, and small amounts of time here and there to keep seeing them.

If you want to replace your job, you will never be complete. Markets are perpetual, history is perpetual, and as long as variance applies to anything, markets will differ and there will be new things to discover — forever. Which is also why financial markets are so lucrative.

  5. Honestly though, how much time is required?

It depends what you want to do. If you just want to learn my approach and get started, you could see results in a few weeks. If you want the basics of DeFi, same thing — very passive, very good opportunities every now and then.

If you want to be self-sufficient and surpass me as a complete beginner, don't expect to get there in less than 18 to 24 months — and that assumes you are diligent and applying what you learn.

The goal is not to complete things and learn. It is to apply what you learn, and synthesise it into your own conceptual reality.

  6. What if I get stuck?

There is a paradox in this. You spend money, you want to learn — but in this industry a lot of the learning comes from waiting to apply what you know, in order to learn what you didn't. Some of it is hard to speed up. Especially the specific understandings about yourself, which someone else is entirely unable to have for you.

There is written material about exactly that, so you can dig around your own head on it.

  7. Is this complete?

Nothing in this is entirely complete. Trading you learn from social media only has so much to it, and if you want to extract as much as possible from the industry and really make money, you will never really be done.

My work reflects that. I'll continue adding as I keep learning.

  8. What does “success” look like?

The goal isn't to copy my approach. It's to internalise the underlying logic well enough that you can reason through situations I have never encountered — and outperform me.

  9. What's your favourite thing about trading?

For one, it naturally resembles what works for me. Like video games. Sales and other business things are more like actual business; trading is a video game like Tetris with more variables, where you can become better.

But — money. I like the money, and I like the freedom. Being able to do whatever you want, whenever, pretty much. Not having to worry about small things in your finances regardless of where you are. Going for a run, feeling hungry, walking into the fanciest restaurant in town and buying takeaway without worrying about the bill, simply because you were craving that dish.

Still the only sensible first move is the boring one.
